  • The founders of AllCarePlus are a group of graduate students who participated in the “Brilliant Catalyst Challenge” hosted by Ontario Tech University in August, 2021. The goal of the Challenge was to address specific issues/ barriers that rural Canadian residents experience. Specifically, we were tasked with developing an idea to help solve the issue of accessibility to primary health care services in rural areas. At the end of the 10-day challenge, participating groups had to pitch their solutions to a group of judges, for a chance to be a part of the Brilliant Incubator program, with the Brilliant Catalyst. Based on the ideas we presented at the final showcase, our group, the "Health Warriors" was selected to join to Brilliant Catalyst's Incubation program. Based on our research, we believe that the Township of Brock could benefit from our proposed solution. Our pilot project involves providing rural residents easier access to health care services by offering virtual checkups and consultations with primary health care providers from the comfort of their home. We are currently in the starting stages of the project and seeking feedback on the potential impact and feasibility of our solution within the Township of Brock.
